The Magical Path of ACoA Recovery Course

You've been under a spell not of your own making—one that shapes how you think and act differently from others. This course unveils the spell's origins, its effects, and most importantly, how to break free.

Drawing on Māori legend, I introduce Waipiro—the Tāniwha protecting alcohol—as a metaphor for your journey.

Five transformative quests await:

- Understand the spell casters

- Recognize how the spell controls you

- Discover your true drives

- Rewrite your internal rules

- Release inherited violence

Worksheets—magic counterspells—are scattered throughout. Use them wisely: reflect, explore, transform. Words, pictures, symbols—whatever speaks to your soul.

Remember: this course is a step, not the complete answer. Seek support, talk to professionals, join communities. Your healing is yours to claim.

Your counter spell starts here.

I have lived this process, I still find myself in this process - thankfully less now. I know the pain of growing up with alcoholic parents and all that brings. My life story is written in lesson one as a magical story that you can take comfort from in knowing that you can have the same magic in your life.

Some of what you’ll learn

  • Here we learn how your values were imposed on you by others. We also learn how to identify those values and how to change them if they are not working any longer.

  • We have learned how to act in certain ways but now things are different and we may not need to act this way any longer. Learn how to change your roles.

  • We learn about the unwritten rules in an addicted family and how to break them!
